Water that has been used in the home, in a business, or as part of an industrial process. “This water recycling facility treats waste water so that it can be reused for non-potable applications”
The major aim of wastewater treatment is to remove as much of the suspended solids as possible. Before the remaining water, called effluent is discharged back to the environment. As solid material decays, it uses up oxygen which is needed by the plants and animals living in the water.
Treated and recycled wastewater provides a cost-efficient supply that decreases the demands and stress on freshwater sources such as groundwater, rivers, and reservoirs. This is particularly important in areas that have been affected by water scarcity and drought.
FRP containment units or tanks won’t rust when they’re in contact with wet and chemically active ground soils. Subterranean potable water and sewage containment vessels benefit from this premium feature. Better yet, ground stored ethanol blends and bio-fuels won’t corrode sunken fibreglass vessels.
